If you buy one, they donate another to a gearhead in need.

Though it's nice to see a topic not about "This car is too slow, hur dur"
I see that enough on the forums.

The car was given a finite amount of horsepower, same as every other car made. I dont know why people complained because they can either A, not buy it, or B, add more power.
The people wanted a tuner car. They gave us a tuner car! and people complained....

People complained because it's not a lot of power for the money. Look at the QOTD, there are tons of cars that offer better $/hp.
That aside, people complain because they like complaining. There's no car out there that people can't find something to complain about: wrong wheel drive, too heavy, too small, too big, not enough power, doesn't sound good, too expensive, crappy cupholders, automatic transmission, soft suspension, hard suspension, wheels too small, wheels too big, too much chrome, not enough chrome....

The best part is all the people selling it becuase they find it too slow. I'm sorry, but how moronic must you be to blow $25K on car and end up finding it slow? Don't people test drive? Toyota gives extended test drives too!

Yeah there is the argument for smiles per dollar... But thats still their prerogative. They dont have to buy it! I dont smoke cigarettes, but i dont go yelling at the people who do because its bad for them (and not cost effective).
Who cares if its too expensive. They finally gave us, at minimum, another RWD tuner car.
Im sure we are all on the same page, but people need to get over the price per horsepower. Some want that, some dont care. And im just over here dillydallying. Price of tea in china. and the straw that broke the camels back.

I bet that's awfully expensive. I think I'm just going to do the Innovate kit on mine... Twin screw whine is incredibly addictive :)

Lol, people!!! Did people actually READ the fact sheet! 200 horsepower. 170rwhp. At what point did they think that was 'a lot' to begin with! They told us clear as day how powerful it was.
And yea haha, what the heck were they doing during their test drives if the clearly didnt see this wasnt super car, or even v8 fast....

well, from the (odd) translation:
"It is not cheap and 4 million yen over almost ¥ 1,627,500 base car plus"
So nearly triple the price (but for for the whole car as a package). So id expect the supercharger to be a pretty penny on its own.

I don't hate the BRZ but I do get annoyed by it. I just think it gets too much attention, and that's hurt its image a bit. It was such a huge deal when it came out that I think most people wanted more.
At the end of the day, I do think people are entitled to complain just as much as you can praise. There's no need to throw a fuss over it. I drive a FWD turbo subcompact that isn't a Fiesta ST, I know first hand how much people will whine or criticize cars that they don't own. I brush it off and enjoy it, it's the only way to have fun

Didnt you own an 86? or do?
People overhyped it. Thats certain. And the extra amount of people who were sucked in to buy it probably expected a lot more, and ended up being the loudmouths who didnt like it.
I never saw this car more than your simple, basic, japanese tuner. Its not a sports car. sporty coupe, yes. But i dont know why they complain. The 86's didnt hide anything. Their fact sheet was entirely public. Its a case of buyer beware (remorse). Or ignorance. lol.

No, I owned a Kia Forte Koup and now I have a Chevy Sonic RS. Not exactly the most respected car choices among enthusiasts.
I don't remember what numbers were being quoted when the FRS was still a concept car, but it doesn't matter. It would never have pleased everyone

hm maybe im confusing you with someone else with hawk in the username. I know someone did....
True that. And its already happened. Nothing to do now but wait til the used market gives us cheap frs's!
